ANDREA MOTIS is a singer, trumpeter and saxophonist. In 2011, con 16 years and having become known on the scene thanks to his work with the Sant Andreu Jazz Band and as a soloist in the quintet he shared with Joan Chamorro, had the opportunity to work with Quincy Jones, who said of her that she played the trumpet like Harry Sweets Edison and the alto sax like Johnny Hodges, and who also sang like Billie Holiday. Jones wasn't just saying it as an amateur., but as a musician who had shared friendship with all of them, absolute references for the then young artist.
In addition to the aforementioned collaboration with Jones, He has shared the stage with other legends such as Milton Nascimento, Omara Portuondo and Buena Vista Social Club, Esperanza Spalding and Yo-Yo Ma, who also invited her to participate in his duet album Notes for the future.
Motis has published 12 albums in his name that cover the entire spectrum of his interests, from classic jazz to funk through Brazilian music.
