Compositor, arranger and teacher of Cuban origin, Ariel Brínguez has played with musicians of the caliber of Tata Güines, Changuito Quintana, David Murray, Simply Red, Javier Colina, Pastori Girl, First, Paquito D'Rivera, Marcus Miller and Miguel Zenón, among others. Collaborating with Chucho Valdés 'Tribute to Irakere: live in Marciac’ (2017) and with Alejandro Sanz 'El Tren de los momentos’ (2009) has won two Grammys, and with Ivan “Melon” Lewis, a Latin Grammy for 'Voyager’ (2021). With 'Cuban Nostalgia', Ariel Brínguez presents moving music, based on his Cuban origins, while crossing all kinds of borders. In full connection with the public, it shows its more intimate nature, multiculturalism, combining tradition and modernity with deep sensitivity. A personal and extremely special project, where he advocates showing a more intimate musical Cuba, as well as a tribute to the forms cultivated by great artists such as Snowball, Jose Antonio Mendez, Eliseo Grenet, Cachaito Lopez or Juanito Marquez. He enters a path in which he reveals each of the feelings that evoke the themes of famous poems set to music, already belonging to the universal cultural heritage. 'Cuban nostalgia’ manages to recreate the sound atmosphere of Cuba over the years 50, recalling it at the same time as the nurturer of current musical conceptions in a repertoire that continuously evokes passion as the essence of the human being.
