Invisible in the cosmos… and invisible in science

The CSIC researcher Olga Mena Requejo will lead us to discover the great “invisibles” of our universe: that matter and energy that, although we cannot see directly, They leave traces that astronomers study to understand how the cosmos works.

But we will not only talk about cosmic invisibility. The conference will also recover the legacy of scientists who, for a long time, remained invisible to history, although his work was key to understanding the universe. A double look to illuminate what, until now, has remained in the dark.

Olga Mena Requejo is a graduate in Physicist and doctor in Theoretical Physics from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Scientific Researcher at the CSIC at the Institute of Corpuscular Physics (centro mixto CSIC–UV), He has developed his career in leading international centers such as the Fermilab National Laboratory (EE. His.) or the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (Italia). His research focuses on cosmology and astroparticles., with special attention to neutrinos. He has published more than two hundred scientific articles and directed numerous outreach initiatives..
