Barcelona, 1986. A group of psychonauts of guitars and sixties melodies publishes Kaleidoscopic piknik, a multicolored psychedelic album, garage and pop loaded with poetry and romanticism. An unusual work for its time, alien to the parameters of the so-called “national rock”, which over the years would become an absolute cult album. This documentary reconstructs the mystery and uniqueness of Los Negativos through their lyrics, his legendary television appearances and the enthusiasm of several generations of followers. It is not so much the direct voice of the band as the echo of its legacy —critics, musicians and devotees—which draws the portrait of these “dandies among trash” and the Barcelona mod scene of the mid-eighties.
They intervene: Mickey Puig, Jaime Gonzalo, Reyes Torío, Ricky Gil, Albert Gil, Loquillo, Very kiko, Jorge Muñoz, Ringo Julian, Miguel Pardo, Fernando Pardo and Àlex Oró.
After the pass, a colloquium will take place with Carles Estrada (voice and bass of Los Negativos) y Fernando Campillo, editor of Desire for Smell and producer of the documentary, and will end with a brief musical performance by some original members of the band.
Session presented by Eduardo Guillot, Cultural journalist.
