Meeting and fair of Independent Editions, Graphic production and small edition. Let's go for the second edition of BIM BANG BOOKS, which was born with the purpose of celebrating and giving visibility to those "other books": independent editions, mainly illustrated books and fanzines, artistic editions, as well as graphic production on paper, that are rarely present in traditional bookstore and library circuits. This event makes visible innovative national and international editorial projects.. This year the guest artists are Laura Simonati, coming from Belgium, Illustrator and graphic designer, winner of prestigious competitions such as the Bologna Book Fair. And the English designer and illustrator, Paul Farrell, who has worked for numerous publishers and brands such as Apple, Harper Collins, Hayward Gallery London,…
Among the scheduled activities is the Professional Day, what will be on friday 12 December, all morning at EASD (Higher School of Art and Design of Valencia), with two conferences by the two invited artists, At the end, an exhibition of books and graphic material by guest authors and other projects will be inaugurated.. Sunday day 14 There will be a workshop aimed at children by Paul Farrell.
The Editorial Fair will be held in the hall of the School of Design., with a total of 30 projects coming from different points and that aims to be a sample of the richness and variety of unconventional editorial projects.
The initiative is organized by Trampolin and Milimbo with the support of the EASD (Higher School of Art and Design of Valencia). BIM BANG BOOKS, has a Editorials Fair, an exhibition of books and graphic material, in addition to talks and workshops, all concentrated at the EASD headquarters.
