Valencia will host, of the 14 al 18 of October, the 1st Artisan Baking and Pastry Gastronomic Fair and the 1st Artisan Bread Fair, organized by the city's Guild of Bakers and Pastry Chefs and promoted by the City Council's Department of Trade and Markets and the General Directorate of the European Green Capital. The aim of the event is to disseminate and make consumers aware of the nutritional advantages, gastronomic and environmental benefits of opting for a local artisanal product.
Among the events scheduled for the week of 14 al 18 In October, a gastronomic route will take place through different neighborhood bakeries in the city of Valencia. 16 October: World Pa Day
Within the 1st Gastronomic Days of Baking and Artisan Pastry, the next 16 of October, coinciding with World Bread Day, the Guild of Bakers and Pastry Chefs of Valencia will organize the 1st Artisan Bread Fair. The purpose of these days is to promote the quality of the oven and artisan pastries, through a trade with centuries of history. The trade association will set up a large tent, of 10 a 14 hours, in Plaça de l'Aigua, in the Navy of Valencia. In her, attendees will be able to take part in an exhibition and tasting of artisanal and traditional Valencian bread in its different varieties and formats, made by Valencian master bakers, all of them holders of the badge that certifies their membership of the guild and recognizes their commitment to innovation, excellence and artisanal tradition. Besides, to them 12.30 hours, the round table "Women Bakers" will take place, in which four women, owners of bakery establishments in the city of Valencia, they will talk about the challenges of the profession and the importance of promoting a craft with centuries of history in order to preserve the gastronomic tradition of the region.
