It is an exquisite concert offered by Heal Duo it wants to be an ode to a generation of female composers from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Bourgeois and well-educated women who went through the time they had to live with the hope of power, for fi, dedicating his life to musical creation in a cultural and social context that was moving towards progress, but that still put many obstacles in personal development, sense of masculine protection, of women.
We are talking about female composers in search of beauty. Of beauty understood as synonymous with "Truth", as the poet Emily Dickinson assured (1830-1886), or of beauty understood as another of the faces of "Good", according to Plato, which echoed the kalokagathia — that ideal that linked beauty and kindness — so typical of classical Greek culture. Beauty always comes to our rescue: it helps us avoid and scare away pain and fear. The feeling that beauty gives us, whatever we mean by beautiful, we like it and it gives us pleasure. I, therefore, living and even dying for it is the most powerful way to sublimate—and endure—the ever-dry reality.
