Flash is Serrucho's new proposal, a piece that, far from being a simple streaming or a cabinet of digital curiosities, approaches the artisanal essence of a puppet show. In a world saturated by the incessant production and circulation of images — where thousands of people record themselves live for platforms like TikTok, Twitch o Instagram, from playing video games to looking out the window—, the company rescues images as objects, giving them back materiality and presence. Here, human interpreters disappear to give the word to things. However, on the network, there are plenty of interpreters: a multitude of anonymous actors transmits sequences in real time that, in most cases, no one sees. Or maybe yes. Maybe, without knowing it, some of them will perform tonight for the audience of a theater. With humor and uncertainty, Fogonazo decontextualizes visual excess and proposes a slower look, almost tactile. Serrucho builds an unstable stage space like an internet connection, where reality and fiction merge.
Idea and creation: Saw.
