The Association of Publishers of the Valencian Country (AEPV) collaborates with the Alzira City Council and the Alzira Municipal Library in the celebration of the Alzira Book Fair as part of the 11th edition of Art in the Streets of Alzira, annual event held at the end of September in the city, organized by the Culture Department of Alzira City Council. The Alzira Book Fair will be next Saturday 26 of September in the Plaça Major of the capital of Ribera Alta, with an ambitious program of activities from 11 hours until 20:00 hours.
The Alzira Book Fair, which is presented with a poster made by the illustrator Olga Mollà, will have 25 Valencian publishing houses, bookstores and other spaces. Editorial Aula will participate, Gusanillo Editorial, Editions Llum de Luna, L'Eixam Llibres and L'Eixam Edicions, LITERA BOOKS, Savanna Books, Respectful Accounting, Hades Editions, Hort dels Frares bookstore, Malian Editor, Galerated Bookstore, The Little Editor, Bullent editions, Editions Bromera, Editorial Twin Star, S.R. Services and Productions, La Consentida Editorial, Editorial claim, editions 96, Edicions del Sud and Editorial El Pirata. In addition, local authors will have three booths of their own, and the activities will take place on the main stage.
The Alzira Book Fair program will begin at 11 hours with Paco Cholbi's show, The Monster Petorro, based on his short story published by Bromera and Enric Solbes International Prize for Illustrated Album "Consorci Ribera i Valldigna". To the 12 hours the show will take place for the whole family Rain of words, a theatrical intervention in which the performers surprise the audience with unexpected drops of extraordinary texts. I a les 13 hours the book will be presented Tyrik, the prince of Ilercavonia, published by Llibres de la Drassana, with the presence of the author Alfons Pérez Daràs, also known as Malparlat. The morning activities will end with the presentation at 13:30 book hours Mosaic d'un bosc by Salvador Lauder, published by El petit editor. The author will talk with the publisher David Vidal.
The booths will open again at 16:30 hours and the program will resume on the stage of the Alzira Book Fair at 17:15 hours. He will do it with the storyteller The castle guardians from the homonymous book published in Valencian and Spanish by Editorial Llum de Luna, I narrat by Paula Tells You. To the 18 hours the book will be presented Revolted by fate by Lourdes Boïgues, Prize for the Historical Novel "Cavall Bernat" by Oliva. The author will talk to the publisher of Editions del Sud, Manel Arcos i Martínez. Finally, the program closes with the presentation in the House of Culture of Alzira The silent peripheries by Salvador Enguix, published by Barlin Books. The journalist and writer will be accompanied by fellow writer and PhD in Communication Nel·lo Pellicer.
It is a program with an open intergenerational atmosphere that aims to encourage the residents of Alzira to discover their city's Book Fair. An event that is part of the activities of the XI edition of Art al Carrer d'Alzira, organized by the Culture Department of Alzira City Council.
