Nave 3 Ribes welcomes LAVENDER CEILING, a project by artist Tamara Pashutkina that delves into the reality of LGBTQ+ refugees in Europe. The title rescues the concept of the Lavender Panic of the years 50 in EE. UU. to draw a parallel with the persecution and marginalization that migrants suffer today due to their gender identity or sexual orientation. Pashutkina, Refugee artist residing in Valencia and trained at the BAZA Institute in Moscow, use paint, video art and performance to build bridges between tradition and the contemporary. The exhibition is a living testimony of migration as an act of resistance and a necessary reflection on diversity, equality and human rights in a context of global crisis.
