The summer cultural proposal will be held again this year at the Hort de les Taules due to the final stretch of the rehabilitation works of the emblematic enclave of the Torre del Virrei. Of the 6 from June to 29 of August, the festival will offer a careful program of live music in the open air marked by artistic quality, proximity and sound diversity.
The program will start on Saturday 6 with The Sabinera Band and his festive and participatory tribute to Joaquín Sabina's repertoire. A week later, it will be the turn of Walking Myself Home, a proposal of contemporary jazz and funk led by the Elian composer and pianist Paula Berga.
The festival will continue on Saturday 20 with Palestine at heart, a show by Cor de l'Eliana, and a day later, The Choral School will offer the intergenerational concert Music in time. This first month will close on Saturday 27 with Timelapse, an experience that condenses universal classical pieces as the colophon of the XXI edition of the Festival 5 Centuries of Music.
After the obligatory holiday break, the program will resume on the second Saturday of August with the prestigious Cuban pianist Iván “Melón” Lewis Trio, one of the most solid and original projects on the current jazz scene. Saturday 15 the turn of the francophone project will come Red Nights, which will transport the audience to Parisian nights with themes like The sea o La vie en rose. And the jazz meetings will close with the expressive depth of the voice ofAngela Cervantes, the sensitivity and mastery of the guitarist Israel Sandoval and the unmistakable saxophone personality of Parakeet Sambeat.
The closure will come on Saturday 29 with the XXV edition of Flamenco Brushstrokes, which will commemorate the quarter century of the festival with a special tribute to Enrique Morente, one of the most influential figures of contemporary flamenco.
