Encounters in El Carmen: The music of Antonio Vega

The Carme Center for Contemporary Culture (CCCC) dedicates his next session to 'Encounters in Carmen', which will take place on Friday 29 of May, to the music of Antonio Vega, in a tribute concert to the Spanish singer and composer, by different Valencian artists.

Under the title 'Fight of giants. Tribute to Antonio Vega', the session (with free entry until capacity is reached) It is produced by the Valencian music production company Planeta Escenario. The event will cover the milestones of Antonio Vega's discography, solo and with the band Nacha Pop, as well as versions that Vega himself interpreted of works by other artists, with mythical songs like 'Yesterday's Girl', 'The place of my recreation' or 'I screamed one night'.

'Fight of giants' has brought together a cast of Valencian artists for the occasion: Vicente Marin, de SOOL Funky Mode, guitar in hand, will give voice to the songs of Antonio Vega. Vicente Chust and José Manuel Moles, members of the Video group, electric guitars will play.

Pablo Barrios will be on keyboards, Renowned musician and keyboardist who accompanies the singer Bebe in her live concerts. Leading the drums will be Adrián Perales, who currently plays in Bloodhunter and is remembered for being part of the Valencian metal band, In mute. Finally, Abel Sanabria, performer of the band Plena 79 and a regular at the concerts of Francisco or Glenda del E, will play the bass.

In the words of López, “This tribute is born from the deepest admiration for one of the musicians, most important composers and lyricists in the history of Spanish music. A concert that goes through the most universal emotions: love, the loss, the search for oneself and sensitivity as a strength”.
