The worlds of Alice. Dreaming of Wonderland

Through 255 objects and works of art, this display offers a far-reaching insight into the influence of the two books starring this rebellious heroine 160 years after its creation. After going through the CaixaForum centers in Barcelona, Madrid and Saragossa, now this show — which they have already seen more than 345.000 people— arrives at CaixaForum Valencia.

In collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum, the exhibition offers a broad perspective on the impact and influence of this Victorian work, a cultural phenomenon in terms of its reach and a source of inspiration for the most creative minds. Its protagonist, Alice, she is a modern day heroine, a rebel driven by curiosity and defiance of logic who bravely faces a world as fantastic as it is absurd.

like the book, the exhibition aspires to be a celebration of 160 years of creativity and curiosity through different artistic forms that have been inspired by the fantasy universe starring Alice through literature, the cinema, to the photo, the fine arts, the design, Fashion, science and theater.

All, through the art and design collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, whose creation, in the middle of the victorian era (1852), it practically coincides in time with the publication of Alicia's first book.
