The next 27 November, the Luis Adelantado Gallery will inaugurate The Dream of the Serpent, a collective exhibition that brings together fundamental works and artists from the gallery's past with current and guest artists to turn memory into the future. Co-curated by Olga Adelantado, who just celebrated her 10th anniversary as gallery director, and the commissioner, art critic and writer Johanna Caplliure, The exhibition brings together twenty works by the artists Mar Arza, Carmen Calvo, Lucia C. Pino, Miracles of the Tower, Susy Gómez, Monica Mays, Eva Lootz, Emmanuela Soria Ruiz and Montserrat Soto. On this tour, Carmen Calvo acts as a cornerstone that connects both moments of the gallery. Through all kinds of contemporary techniques, like photography, the sculpture, organic materials or sculptures that become installations, The exhibition addresses topics such as memory and oblivion, censorship and resistance, the processes and transmutation of matter, the territory and nature, intimacy and community, the fragile and the powerful.
