The mirage of the majority

'The mirage of the majority' is the title of the conference that professor and scientific popularizer Eduardo Sáenz de Cabezón will give this Friday (12 of July) in the Higher Technical School of Engineering (DO IT) from the University of Valencia. The event will start at 12 hours in the degree room in the center. Attendance is free until capacity is reached.

Eduardo Sáenz de Cabezón holds a degree in Mathematics and Theology and a PhD in Mathematics from the University of La Rioja, where he currently works as a professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computing. For more than 15 years, works to disseminate mathematics in different areas (university, secondary education, general public, media), giving talks, papers, workshops and courses in mathematical communication and dissemination. Winner of the scientific monologue competition of the Aquae Foundation and FameLab 2013, is the founder of the scientific monologue group The Big Van Theory and has been a speaker at TEDxRíoDeLaPlata and TEDxRíoDeLaPlataEducación. Sáenz de Cabezón collaborates in different media, which include television (presenter of the program 'Orbita Laika', the TVE2, 'The Adventure of Knowledge, TIPS), radio (TO BE, Zero Wave, National Radio of Spain) and print media (Yorokobu, The Confidential ). He is also a screenwriter and presenter of the YouTube channel Derivando, dedicated to mathematics and produced by Zeppelin-Endemol. The lecturer is the author of various popular science books such as 'Mathematical Intelligence' (Editorial Platform, 19 Spanish editions, one in Italian), ‘Emmy’s tree’ (Editorial Platform) and 'Mathematical Apocalypse' (Penguin Random House, 5 editions ).
