The sorcerer: Autobiography of a yogi

I think it was Gandhi who said something like that: «I have observed that life persists in the midst of destruction. Therefore there must be a law higher than the law of destruction. Only under that law can society be intelligible and life worth living.. The greatness of science would be to investigate this law, and that of art to celebrate and reflect it.

But I'm just a comedian and a comedian!. In all my shows laughter is a dominant factor, that rhymes with comedian, you already know me… and yet I always look for a moment where the breath rises towards the sacred domain of poetry. Shakespeare was also a comedian but also a poet. That is why I always invoke his spirit to give wings to my laughter and make them more transparent.. This time I will need it in a very special way. I am afraid that you will also have to make a special effort to accompany me. Could I fly without you?

Who was Yogananda? A big man! He brought yoga to the West (not just physical yoga) if not also "raja yoga", that's what they call it in India: meditation, the science of self-realization. And what does this mean? He explains it clearly and simply with his powerful words but even more with his life.. Hence the fascination that this autobiography had on me.. So that you know him, I do this show.

I hope the wisdom, the charm, magic, The light and love of this story inspire and accompany you. Let me end with the words of a great poet whom Yogananda admired.: Rabindranath Tagore. As a dedication:
"where the mind is without fear and the head stands high"
"where knowledge is free
where the world has not been broken into pieces by narrow domestic walls
where words come from the depths of truth…»
…» in that sky of freedom oh my Father!
allow me my country to stand. Nothing else. Nothing else."
I present to you Paramahansa Yogananda, a great teacher. my teacher!
