Mònica Ajenjo presents at XC Gallery a hyperrealistic exploration of delivery and chance. The Benimaclet XC Gallery inaugurated the past 6 of May the exhibition EL BATEC DE L'INESPERAT, a new artistic proposal by Mònica Ajenjo that can be visited until the next one 31 of May. The exhibition brings together a selection of hyperrealistic works articulated around two stories that dialogue with each other: I gave you my heart and The beauty of the casual. Two universes that share the same sensibility and that explore human emotions from the point of fragility, the sacrifice and the unexpected beauty. "Two stories, same skin. In this exhibition, sacrifice and fortune converge under a single gaze: I gave you my heart unravels the cartography of surrender, exploring the infinite grooves through which the affection moves towards the other, while La
beauty of the casual rescues the splendor hidden in the forms dictated by chance. In the end, every delivery is a leap into the void and every form haphazard, a beauty waiting to be discovered.”
The inauguration had a large public attendance and an audiovisual intervention in the form of mural mapping, created especially for the occasion by Neuraska and JJ Doc under the title Kimymouse. This piece is based on a work by Mònica Ajenjo and rethinks the figure of the leader, building a new, more comical and ironic reading. Ajenjo's work stands out for a precise and emotional hyperrealistic technique, able to open spaces of introspection in the viewer. As they point out from the gallery: "Mònica Ajenjo opens a window to our deepest thoughts in each work."
This exhibition also represents an exceptional opportunity to see the work of Mònica Ajenjo in Valencia, since a large part of his exhibition career usually takes place internationally. His works are part of collections and exhibitions in the United States, Europa, asia, Australia and South America, fact that turns this exhibition into a unique occasion to approach his work in a direct and close way. Mònica Ajenjo has a degree in Fine Arts, History of Art and Law. Throughout his career he has developed an intense international activity, exhibiting in several countries and collaborating with galleries in the United States, where his work has a great projection and demand.
