Dima Slobodeniouk

Russian director Dima Slobodeniouk collaborates with the most prestigious ensembles: Gewandhaus, Concert Hall, the los angeles philharmonics, New York and Berlin or the Boston and Chicago symphonies. In Spain he was chief conductor of the Galician Symphony for almost ten years.. Resident in Finland since he was a teenager, Scandinavian musicians are regulars at their concerts, especially Sibelius, of who offers us the Symphony 1 and The Swan of Tuonela. They are emotional examples of the orchestral talent that the composer already exhibited in his youth., and that transport us to the fascinating landscapes and Nordic legends magically evoked by their particular sound.. Between both pages, We will listen to Elgar's superb Cello Concerto, his nostalgic testament, favorite of soloists as great as the Madrid-born Pablo Ferrández, for the first time at Les Arts.
