Valencia joins the celebration of International Jazz Day with an open proposal, gratuita and in the heart of the Cabanyal neighborhood - the sugar cane. This said, 30 April 13, of 18:00 a 20:30 hours, the Plaça del Rosari will host one vesprada of live concerts that will turn the public space into a meeting point for music and citizenship. The program will start at 18:00 hours with the performance of Happy Band, followed them 18:30 hours for Nave Latin Ensemble. To the 19:00 hours will be the turn of Kaos Big Band and will close the day at 19:30 hours the Right now Latin Big Band.
The initiative is driven by Valencia Music City and is framed in the strategy of visibility of the local music ecosystem, which bets on programming that connects styles, generations and diverse audiences. The line-up brings together several bands that reflect the richness and diversity of jazz in Valencia. From proposals designed for a family audience, com Happy Band, ends to formacions of a more energetic nature, com Kaos Big Band, going through projects intergenerational, com Right now Latin Big Band i Nave Latin Ensemble, that combine professional experience and young talent. As highlighted from Valencia Music City, this diversityat not only highlights the musical level of the city, but also jazz's ability to adapt, evolve and connect with different sensibilities.
As indicated from Valencia Music City, the celebration of International Jazz Day is conceived as an open and accessible action, in which the music shaft of conventional spaces to integrate into the daily life of the city. with this action, Valencia Music City affirms that it continues with a strategy that places music in the center of the city, as a cultural expression, as well as a social engine and tool for connecting with citizens.
