DEKKER is the solo project of American Brookln Dekker, known as half of the indie-folk duo Rue Royale. After years composing and touring with the band, Dekker found in his solo career a space to explore more personal sounds full of textures.. His music combines melodic tones, hypnotic rhythms and a warm voice that evokes artists like Bon Iver or Nick Mulvey.
From 2019, Dekker has released three notable albums: Slow reveal: chapter one (2020), I won’t be your Foe (2022) and his most recent work, Future ghosts (2024). This last album, composed of ten songs, oozes love and loss, and it is presented as a more melancholic work than the previous ones, but equally rich in textures. Inspired by folk-pop, Dekker brings a hopeful approach to his music, establishing itself as a unique name on the international indie scene.
