Choirs, Dances and Memory, It is a multidisciplinary audiovisual artistic work, (history, photograph, video), where Art al Quadrat "emulates" the Women's Section of FET and JONS who created an idealized cultural and political imaginary of "Spanish" folklore with the organization Coros y Danzas de España, appropriating and linking popular culture to the ideal of national Catholicism of Francoism. songs were collected, “politically correct” and visually attractive dances and clothing throughout Spain. The well-known provincial and national contests that traveled abroad exporting the “friendly” face of the regime were characteristic., entering where the dictatorship could not access for political reasons. In this project it becomes a recovery strategy for both critical folklore, that element that “Section” denatured and made it disappear, like women's stories, that are normally the great forgotten ones in history, because among others, received punishments considered minor, such as hair shaving or rape.

An audiovisual necessary for the transmission and generation of a new memory in the collective imagination.
