Cortoons Gandia is an international festival of animated short films. The number edition 21 will take place at the Teatro Serrano de Gandia on the days 23/24/25/26 October and at the Gandia Campus of the UPV on the day 24. This edition has received more than 2.700 short films 110 countries. It is a festival, organized by Alessandro d’Urso, with the sponsorship of the Gandia City Council, the Valencian Institute of Culture and the Gandia Campus of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, hosts many artists from all over the world, whether they are animators, film directors, digital artists…
As is customary in Cortoons, we have special guests: a meeting with the drawing master Paco Roca (24/10); Hermoti a star of funny dubbing and Isatxa Mengibar the legendary voice, among many, by Lisa Simpson, Arcane Jinx and Pipi Longstocking, that together they will perform in a dubbing show (25/10). Everyone will do signing and photo sessions
In addition to these great moments, We will also have the screening of out-of-competition feature films: Flow, The Boy and the Heron and Memoirs of a Snail, with an origami workshop for families, and a room entirely dedicated to the TCG; TCG is the acronym in English for Trading Card Game, which in Spanish translates as Collectible Card Game.
Some retrospectives on Jan Svankmajer, Blu, Wallace and Gromit and Donald Duck will complete the rich programming of Cortoons 2025.
