Forest Court opens a new clearing for us in the artistic path of Manu Blázquez, showing for the first time a series of works where the beginning of color occurs, a beginning “earthy”. The exhibition offers a panorama of works, developed in the periphery of the last two years, where geometry is presented as a desire for a habitable space, as well as an indefinite period of time, supported by multiple variations of gray that tend towards sanguine. A set of synopses where figure and background are the same thing.
Manu Blazquez (Valencia, 1978) He develops his artistic research around the search for graphic and translation systems where the fundamental concepts of space and time are related.. His plastic work combines different disciplines, like engraving, writing and painting; resorting mainly to the dialogue between geometry and arithmetic for the production of his work, but also paying attention to certain blind places where moments of flight and parliaments of arbitrary lines are noticed.. A nivel conceptual, Its analysis can be related to artists who have used mathematical canons to develop their visual proposals and delve into procedural aspects linked to human programming..
His work has been shown in different individual and group exhibitions., both nationally and internationally. He has participated in the Kulturkontakt Austria artistic residency programs (2018), Royal Academy of Spain in Rome (2022) and House of Velázquez (French Academy in Madrid, 2022-2023).
