Conversation with Lidia Ravera and Manuela Carmena

Old men of the world, up: a reflection on aging and its transformative potential.

The pride of having lived, the challenge of continuing to live in an ageist world that exalts youth and makes age invisible: This is the starting point of a conversation between the Italian writer and essayist Lidia Ravera and the jurist and politician Manuela Carmena.

The generation of more than 65 years, majority and marked by decades of transformations and peace, could be an active force for change. However, She is often trapped in stereotypes that define her from lack and fragility..

On the occasion of the publication in Spanish of Palabras mayors (Ned Editions), Lidia Ravera will open the session with a speech in which she will demand another look at aging: a long stage, full of possibilities. Next, in dialogue with Manuela Carmena, will go deeper into this reflection to value the power, often ignored, of old age.
