The Center of the Carme Culture Contemporary (CCCC) dismiss the 18 May exhibition Lyrics and compass by Chema Madoz with a concert that gives life to his works, ringing, for the first time, the scores that have inspired the creative work of the Spanish photographer. Two young Valencian performers reveal the musical pieces hidden behind Madoz's visual games, the violinist Carlos Martín Duarte and the pianist Alejandro Espina.
The photographer, National Photography Award and Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts, has united for the first time in this exhibition in Valencia two of his great passions: music and literature. A score made on a loom, a spider playing the piano, a frog in treble clef, two flutes turned into a dangerous weapon, a musical shutter, a whip turned into a note... are some of the images with which the Madrid photographer resignifies objects, turning the everyday into the extraordinary. Taking the thread to the exhibition, For three months, the Center del Carme has invited visitors to play with the images, imagining the musical pieces or literary works that the artist reinterprets in his photographs..
