The string orchestras, wind and jazz from the prestigious Australian school Brisbane Grammar School will give a free concert with a unique repertoire on the Rambleta.

Chamber and wind orchestras, Chamber Strings and Concert Band are ensembles auditioned and formed by the best string and wind players at the school.. Brisbane Grammar School's strings program is one of the largest and most recognized strings programs in the country. In 2010 They undertook a successful concert tour of Europe where they participated in the Summa Cum Laude International Young Music Festival in Vienna.. Every year they organize their own String Festival, bringing together the state of Queensland's leading school string ensembles to perform professional standard repertoire focusing on new music. The school's flourishing wind program explores a variety of repertoire including important Australian works. They perform for a wide audience and a few years ago, they thrilled the public on their first tour abroad in France, England and Wales in 2018.

The school's best jazz performers form the Jazz Ensemble, exploring a variety of jazz and popular classics while developing your improvisation and performance skills. This set is in high demand as featured entertainment at social and fundraising gatherings. They previously toured South Australia, where they participated in the Generation in Jazz Festival, while in 2018 enlivened audiences in Italy and Greece on their first foreign concert tour.

Stephen Chin, chamber orchestra director, He graduated from the University of Sydney in violin and composition with John Harding and Peter Sculthorpe respectively., He has been invited to perform with groups such as The ABC Sinfonia, the Queensland Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras and Corda Spiritus, among others.

David Cribb will conduct the wind orchestra and was principal tuba of the Berlin Komische Oper orchestra and since 2005 works as principal tuba of the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig.

Dr.. Philippa Robinson will take charge of the jazz ensemble, whose diverse solo career has ranged from performing Artie Shaw's Clarinet Concerto with the Bobby Limb Stage Band to Mozart's Clarinet Concerto with the ABC Sinfonia. He has commissioned many new clarinet works and has recorded five solo CDs of Australian clarinet repertoire on the Innaminka label..
