Con Gypsy of Maurice Ravel (1875–1937), the violin displays its most theatrical and virtuoso dimension. Jacobo Christensen once again assumes the double role of soloist and conductor in this dizzying fantasy about freedom.
The program culminates with the Concert in D of Igor Stravinsky (1882–1971), a sound architecture of rhythmic precision and incisive clarity, with the rope as a collective organism.
