The L’Iber Museum will host the next 23 September at 19:30 h a new session of his Cine Club, dedicated on this occasion to Rear Window (Rear Window, 1954), one of Alfred Hitchcock's most recognized works and an essential classic in film history.
Starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly, The film starts from a seemingly everyday situation: a photographer, immobilized in his apartment after an accident, observes the lives of his neighbors from his window. What begins as a distraction ends up becoming a disturbing suspicion. From this premise, Hitchcock builds a masterful exercise in suspense and a reflection on the gaze, intimacy and the limits between curiosity and observation.
The activity will take place in accordance with the usual dynamics of the museum's Cinema Club: The film must be previously viewed at home and the in-person session will be dedicated to commentary, analysis and sharing of the work. The meeting, animated by Javier Sancho and Carlos Climent, will offer a space for dialogue around the main narrative aspects, visuals and thematics of the film, as well as its relevance within the history of cinema.
The session will take place in the conference room of the L'Iber Museum and is presented as an invitation to revisit a great cinema classic from a shared experience of reflection, conversation and cultural enjoyment.
