In absolutely incredible news, one of America's brightest singer-songwriters will perform live, for one night only, in The Bathysphere in El Cabanyal.
If you don't know The dB's... they were the great American power pop band par excellence, led, Lennon/McCartney style, by Chris Stamey and Peter Holsapple.
Stamey played bass with Big Star's Alex Chilton and Television guitarist, Richard Lloyd, before forming The dB's, where he composed a series of incredible songs for three classic albums from the early 1990s. 80. Stardom seemed assured. However, the machinations of the record company and simple bad luck thwarted his destiny. Now, more than forty years later, The band is seen not only as an evolved heir to the perfect pop magic of the 60, but as a precursor to much of what came after.
