Talks about Expanded Fiction: Estela Sanchis

The multidisciplinary artist Estela Sanchis inaugurates the new cycle of Canada Blanch Foundation, Talks about Expanded Fiction directed by the writer and screenwriter David Pascual (but mr. Perfumme).

This cycle brings together creators from different disciplines who expand the notion of writing beyond the text. From literature or cinema to essays or anthropology, We explore with them how the word becomes a gesture, in critical discourse, in a space of resistance and in a way of looking at reality.

We begin this series of meetings by talking with Estela Sanchis about his first novel So far everything is going well (Canada, 2025), a reflection on the drive for violence and cruelty, the sick bonds of dependency and the limits of intimacy. In his artistic practice, Sanchis combines writing, photograph, video and installation, exploring the look, desire and the mechanisms of voyeurism in today's society. Besides, from 2019 promotes the independent bookstore Bangarang, a space dedicated to narrative and contemporary essays along with comics and visual culture.

Later, They will go through the Monty Peiró cycle (16 December), Maria Bastaros (25 of March) and Gemma Blasco (25 of May), three creators who, from their respective areas, They share the same desire to question dominant narratives and expand the margins of fiction..

The cycle arises as a continuation of The terror that does not come from outside. Talks about writing and fear, also directed by David Pascual, which featured the writers: Elaine Vilar Madruga, Begoña Méndez, Desirée de, María Fernanda Ampuero, Silvia Hidalgo y Rosario Villajos.
