Turkish Chronicles is the title of six short documentary films directed in Turkey by Maurice Pialat between 1964 i 1965: Bosphorus (14′), Byzantium (11′), La Corne d’Or (12′), Istanbul (13′), Maître Galip (11′) and wrestling (13′). A portrait of the city of Istanbul that focuses on the different neighborhoods of the Turkish city and its inhabitants, from porter to fighter, passing through the traditional belly dancer.
