CalleContemporánea returns to Bejís, a small municipality in the interior of Castellón that every July transforms its streets and squares into open-air scenarios, completely free of charge. For two afternoons and throughout each day, The town hosts four scenic proposals (contemporary dance, performance, body theater, acrobatics and sound art) that take public space and turn it into a real meeting place between artists and the neighborhood.
But CalleContemporánea is not just a festival of shows. CCB Calls are a hallmark of their own identity: actions that each year propose something different and that this 2026 they are going to surprise. Saturday, The public itself becomes the protagonist through a live workshop that activates the collective movement through the streets of Bejís, where each person's body becomes part of something bigger. on sunday, the Bejís Band (essential part of the social fabric of the municipality) take the reins of a drift through the town, guiding the audience between the different scenarios in a way that no one expects.
All this under the motto TREADING THE COMMON: an invitation to think about us, in collective responsibility, in peace as an active practice and in what it means to care for the spaces we share. Committed and honest proposals that do not seek only to entertain, but also remove.
