Campanar has a lot to tell. Behind its streets, its squares and its buildings there are associations, shops, artists, writers, artisans, cultural spaces and people who have been giving life to the neighborhood for years. That is why it is born Bell Open, a project promoted by The Chamber of Books, hand to hand with Handwriting and with the help of the entire neighborhood, with a very simple idea: open Campanar and put in common everything that normally remains dispersed. For a whole weekend, different spaces, Entities and businesses in the neighborhood will come together to fill its streets with culture, until, literature, music, gastronomy and activities for all audiences.
We don't want it to be just a fair. We want it to be an opportunity for visit Campanar, enter places you may not have known, discover projects, meet its protagonists and enjoy the neighborhood in a different way. For it, We have prepared different routes and activities that will connect the different plazas and participating spaces. And the best thing is that you can do it at your own pace..

SATURDAY 12
In the morning Bell begins to open
From early in the morning, at 10:00 h, participating cultural venues and many gastronomic venues will be open to the public, prepared to receive neighbors and visitors. Many of them have prepared surprises for visitors and include the presence of writers, craftsmen and artists within its walls. All collaborating stores will be marked at their entrance with green balloons.
The different information points that we have prepared in the three main squares of the route: the boat square, in front of the Retirement Home; the church square; and the nameless square, very close to the Chamber. Over there, our volunteers will inform you about the different activities. You can also find your way around the neighborhood and learn about everything that is happening during the day..
Thanks to our IT partners we have created an app that will serve as an interactive map to know where each participating location is., where the routes begin and what places the concerts have.

The Chamber of Books
Our headquarters will be one of the central points of the event.
During the day, 16 Writers will be at The Chamber of Books signing and presenting their books, Within the programming of Handwriting. Authors from all over Spain, eager to make themselves known and share the experience with the public. We have developed jointly with Handwriting a selection of writers that does not leave any genre aside.
Besides, from La Cámara you can collect the map of Open Campanar, start our gymkhana or get your tickets to purchase drinks at any of the La Cámara information points. The gymkhana will be available from the first hour. You will only have to get your map, tour the neighborhood and complete the different challenges and points of the route that we propose. Those who complete it must return it to The Chamber before 20:00 Sunday h, with your data very clear. They will be raffled among all participants 4 very special prizes:
- 🎁 50 € to spend on breakfast, food, dinner or takeaway inside one of the participating gastronomic establishments.
- 📚 50 € to spend in one of the collaborating Campanar bookstores.
- 🎨 50 € to spend on workshops organized within collaborating cultural venues.

The square · Entities and associations for all tastes
The activity will also take to the streets. In the square we will find different stalls and spaces dedicated to artisans., artists and friendly entities. It will be one of the meeting points of the event, where you can learn about different projects, talk to its protagonists and discover the work that is done both in Campanar and in other parts of València. We will count on the participation of groups such as Taula per la Partida and the Campanar Neighbors Association, in addition to other entities such as the Feline Colony of Bell, El Faro Movement and the Literaturelx or Ancyl associations. We begin children's activities with our first storyteller. A proposal so that the little ones also have their space within Campanar Obert and can enjoy stories and literature in company. The activity will be carried out by Beatriz Dehesa, coming from the project Dream Drawer.

The programming continues moving to the next place. At 12:00 h We will have the first acoustic concert of the weekend at the Church Square, in the center of the entities. The music will be provided by David and Zaira, a guitar and voice duo.

📍 Forgotten Plaza
And at 13:00 h we arrived at the Forgotten Plaza, completing our morning tour. We will close the morning route with an intimate concert in the smallest square in the area. Three seats, three moments and one invitation: go out and enjoy.

A different way of knowing what we often have in front of us and that, however, we don't always stop to look. Campanar is also eaten
Throughout the day, participating gastronomic establishments will be open, ready to receive the public. The idea is that Campanar Obert does not force you to stop the activity to eat: you can tour the neighborhood, visit the stalls, enter cultural spaces and take a break in one of the participating establishments. Because we also want commerce and hospitality are part of the experience.
Midday break
After morning activities, We will have a short break within the cultural programming. But Campanar Obert does not disappear. The activity will continue until 21:00 h. Participant positions will remain open, while cultural spaces will continue to receive visitors. It will be the perfect time to finish the route, make the last purchases, meet one of the participants or, simply, enjoy the atmosphere. Also very attentive to Oasis Art. All the painters that you can see on the streets of Campanar during the morning will exhibit their works at the neighborhood art venue, where you can meet them personally, know the space and, besides, see all the art that is made during the mornings.
22:00 h · Fresh cinema

When night falls, we change the squares on the screen. At 22:00 h we will enjoy a session of Fresca cinema, completely free for all neighbors. A peaceful way to end a day full of activities, culture and encounters. Bring your chair, a blanket if it's cool and you want to enjoy the movies under the stars. 🌙 We are extremely fortunate to have a very special guest: Angela Saiz, from the well-known store Rosebud, specialized in cinema. He will present us with a very special film, personally chosen by her for our cinema a la fresco: "Dead Poets Society"

On Sunday we repeat a good part of the experience. Los cultural venues will remain open, the information points will continue to operate and the writers' positions, Artisans and participating entities will continue to be part of the tour. We continue working for all visitors. During the day, 16 Writers will be at The Chamber of Books signing and presenting their books, Within the programming of Handwriting. On this occasion, the bulk will be made up of authors from La Cámara, many of them Valencians. Again, in collaboration with Handwriting, We have created a selection of authors that does not leave any genre aside. Remember that the gymkhana will continue running and you will be able to get your map of Open Campanar or continue it on Sunday itself. Of course, You can also purchase your tickets to get drinks at any of the La Cámara information points.. It will be very important that on Sunday, before 21:00 h, you have left your map with the minimum challenges completed and your personal data in The Chamber, to be eligible for one of the prizes we have prepared:

It will be our last meeting of the weekend and an opportunity to reunite part of the community that has made Campanar Obert possible..
