Billy Wilder: If it didn't dawn

Within the hindsight dedicated to one of the great names of the cinema of century XX, his first film as a director is scheduled for February, Bad Seed, which will be shown with subtitles in Valencian. Performed by mythic actress Danielle Darrieux, the film was shot in 1934, while Wilder lived as a refugee in France after fleeing Germany, where Hitler had just taken power.

Besides, already in the United States, his facet as a screenwriter (four hands with Charles Brackett) gives us the opportunity to enjoy four great comedies of the golden age of Hollywood, directed by two essential filmmakers: The compatriot Ernst Lubitsch and Mitchell Leisen, author of some of the best screwball comedies of the years 30. In them we find Garbo in her most comical role (Ninotchka), to little Claudette Colbert – always talkative and outgoing, enfondada in her golden lamé dresses - by double part (Bluebeard's eighth wife, Sunrise), i a galants com Gary Cooper o Charles Boyer.
