BALKAN PARADISE ORCHESTRA (BPO) born at the beginning of 2015 fruit of friendship, the fascination with the genre “balkan brass” and the desire to create a different fanfare in the city of Barcelona. What began as a street music and small stage project has become a band of ten metal wind instrumentalists., unique and groundbreaking wood and percussion that has toured numerous festivals in Europe and North America.
In its beginnings, Balkan Paradise Orchestra performed repertoire of artists from the Balkan area, mainly from Serbia and Romania, hence the origin of the band's name. Progressively, They began to create their own songs and mix different rhythms and melodies from the Iberian Peninsula and the rest of the world., resulting in very eclectic and festive music. Each member has a very different musical background and this enriches the group when it comes to composing.. Some have trained as classical music performers, other jazz and modern music.
One of the aspects that draws the most attention is the diversity of audiences that follow the band around the world.. BPO has a surprising ability to generate empathy with each person in the public, whatever your age. They like to give special value to the staging of their concerts, with an energetic live, powerful and choreographed, a stage show that spreads joy, desire to dance and claims teamwork.
