The Science Museum presents ¡Bailar! The art of moving, an interactive exhibition that invites you to discover dance as a universal language. Created by the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie of Paris in collaboration with the Center National de la Danse. This exhibition shows that dancing is accessible to everyone, regardless of age or abilities. Here, the public not only observes: participate, experiment and create.
Three ways to live dance. The exhibition is organized in three movements:
1. SPIN: The origin of the movement
Circular movement as the origin of dance.
Interactive installations and collective experiences that explore space, rhythm and body expression.
2. HOP: Defying gravity
The body in suspension.
Activities that analyze impulse, the gravity and energy of the jump through participatory experiences.
3. MEET UP: Dance as a social connection
Dance is a shared experience that generates bonds, emotions and collective memory. Choreographies, real-time avatars and experiences that celebrate dance.
Dancing Ring: central activity of the exhibition, to interactive installations that capture the visitor's movement, The exhibition turns the Museum into a space where the public not only observes, but dances, experiment and create. Sessions every 30 minutes to learn three dances: bran, waltz and disco.
Dance via Avatar: Visitors' movements are transformed into avatars projected in real time.
The Dance of the Shoes: visual tour of different types of dance footwear and their uses.
Dance Matters: audiovisual piece about the cultural and emotional dimension of dance
Dance! The art of moving turns the Museu de les Ciències into an open track where movement is transformed into language, learning and connection. An invitation to discover dance from within. Intergenerational celebration: Roots-inspired holiday experiences and family celebrations.
