Scenic Art Classroom 2026: conquests

The University of Valencia presented in a press conference this Tuesday, 5 of May, Escena Erasmus UV theatrical show 'Conquestes', a scenic proposal thataddresses historical and contemporary wounds from a humane and restorative perspective. The work, which will turn for 15 Valencian localities, will make its debut in the Sala Matilde Salvador of the La Nau Cultural Center on the following days 6, 7 i 8 of May (19 hours).

'Conquests' is the seventeenth stage of Escena Erasmus UV i raises a scenic reflection on the idea of ​​conquest, understood not only as a historical fact, but also as a present reality that crosses memory, identity and human relations. The work addresses issues such as social conquests, personal and political, as well as resistance processes, reconciliation and renunciation that these imply.

With drama coordinated by Guadalupe Sáez and directed by Josep Valero, the show has been created collectively by a team of authors made up of Guadalupe Saez, Aaron Sanchez, Patricia Michele Cabrera, Mariana Hartasánchez, Jacobo Pallarés, Emma Cases i Maria Andrés. The play will be performed by a cast of eleven Erasmus and Valencian students: Guillem Borrego, Light of Dawn Cardillo, Emma Cases, Julia Linzalata, Arina Firstova, Doucia López-Pueyo, Julia Moreno, Sergio Muñoz, Linda Revenko, Sofia Simonetto i Ines Sola.

The scenic proposal starts from the idea of ​​repair as a central axis: it's not about erasing the past, but to listen to him and generate spaces of understanding. Through this look, conquests invites to rethink historical episodes and current conflicts, at the same time that it focuses on the intimate and everyday conquests that define the human experience.
