Artifact

a work of art, a versatile piece of furniture or workshop material… all these things is Artifact: a mobile device, halfway between the artistic installation and the mediation proposal, designed specifically to host projects created by artists.

This workshop with the artist Albert Potrony proposes, through collaboration, collective listening and play, a space where we can establish a series of conversations or creative actions between our bodies, the elements that make up the Artifact and the space that welcomes us. With the incorporation of a set of new soft sculptural elements to the Artifact, flexible and elastic, that offer the possibility of transforming and connecting our bodies within space, We will carry out an individual and collective exploration of artistic disciplines such as installation and performance. This workshop invites us to move, listen, tap, transform spaces and objects with your own body, connecting with others and the environment to imagine and create common landscapes.

In charge of Albert Potrony, multidisciplinary artist born in Catalonia and resident in the United Kingdom who uses sculpture, installation and action as a basis for research on participatory artistic processes. He has exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, including the Tate, Serpentine Galleries, Whitechapel Gallery, South London Gallery, Gasworks, Camden Arts Centre, V&A’s (London), Serralves Foundation (Porto) and the La Panera Art Center (Lleida).
