British trumpeter and drummer Andy Hague is a musician active in the Bristol jazz scene for over 25 years. He is also a composer, arranger, music educator and promoter: He has been a key figure in the Bristol jazz scene, not only as a performer but also as an organizer of the weekly Be-Bop Club.
His style is inspired by hard bop and the sound of Blue Note, with influences from musicians like Kenny Dorham, Lee Morgan y Horace Silver. He has collaborated with artists such as Pee Wee Ellis and Fred Wesley in big bands., both at festivals and at the legendary Ronnie Scott's Club. He has also worked with the trip-hop band Portishead, participating in their album Dummy. Besides, has composed for television, theater and cinema, including the soundtrack of A good woman.
