The person in charge of opening this third edition is a young illustrator, known as laoliwa. The inauguration will take place on Saturday 9 of March, at 12:00h en Being, the MuVIM cafeteria (Valencian Museum of Enlightenment and Modernity).
Andrea Oliva, laoliwa will be the second exhibition of the Illustrated Season cycle, the first of this 2024.
Andrea was born in Valencia in the year 1996, is an illustrator focused on editorial illustration, mural painting and with great interest in the world of self-publishing. His work is mostly inspired by the rural world., collective identity, nature and social struggle. Graduate in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) in 2020 and in the Master of Professional Illustration of Barreira A+D in 2023. Beneficiary of the Valencia Coopera Scholarship of the UPV (2019), thanks to which he completed his TFG in Guatemala, in addition to a collaborative comic with the local association AFOPADI and recently, a collaborative mural. Three years of experience working as a freelance illustrator making posters, editorial and mural projects for institutions such as the Benetússer City Council, the Gandía City Council and the Department of Equality of the Mancomunitat de la Costera Canal and for entities such as Tresdeu, Valencian School and Full. Be part of the Tenderete coordination team, popular sonographic festival of Valencia, from 2021 and has participated in other desktop publishing fairs such as BALA (Bilbao), Fair of Joy (Port) and La Liada Gráfica (Alicante), among others.
