The duo ALOSA, formed by Giulietta Vidal (voice and percussion) and Irene Romo (voice, cello and percussions), has published his first album, 'The first song of the morning'. The disk, composed of nine songs, consolidates its own sound universe and represents a step forward in the trajectory of one of the most emerging projects
highlights of the Catalan scene.
The first song of the matí comes after the good reception of the singles “El forner”, "City girls" and "Flowers and violets", and confirms the artistic solidity of ALOSA. Produced together with Arnau Figueres, also responsible for the recording, mixing and mastering, The album combines original compositions with adaptations of popular songbooks such as “La dama d’Aragó”, "The song of the birds" and "Marieta basketmaker". Among the featured songs are “Las alamedas”, a collaboration with Tarta Relena based on a text by Federico García Lorca, and “El riu”, which incorporates the poem "L'ametller" by Joan Maragall.
With a proposal that starts from tradition and dialogues with new sounds, ALOSA has established itself as one of the most personal voices of the new Catalan folklore. Your live, marked by vocal work, cello and traditional percussion, They have obtained an excellent response from the public, with tickets sold out at the Barcelona Auditorium, the Mediterranean Fair in Manresa and the Teatre de Salt.
