Each 15 of August, Bétera is enveloped in the unmistakable aroma of basil, on the most important day of its festivities dedicated to the Mare de Déu d'Agost. The figures of the workers and the umbrella bearers are in charge of accompanying various totally monumental basil plants. You will love their clothing and accessories full of color and tradition!! They also feature cossieters, the bearers of the basils or “basils”. These plants are offered to the Virgin Mary in the “roll”, a festive and participatory event where everyone can have a good time, You can't miss the Festa de les Alfàbegues!!
