On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of György Kurtág and Hans Werner Henze, the Cuesta Quintet offers a tour of some of the most significant milestones in the wind repertoire of the 20th and 21st centuries. The program brings into dialogue the expressive intensity of Kurtág and the timbral richness of Henze with the innovative writing of José Manuel López López and the rhythmic energy of the Sis trifles but György Ligeti. Four essential looks that explore sound, color and experimentation from different languages, setting up a concert that celebrates the validity and transformative capacity of contemporary music.
