The Etnomusic Festival returns next May with a wide and varied lineup that brings folk and traditional music proposals with elements from other musical genres., linking tradition with innovation. For eight days, The public will be able to enjoy a program with multiple links between traditional music, the Jazz, classical and pop music. The event will bring together artists and groups configuring a map that reaches from our regions to the eastern end of the Mediterranean, from the nearest France (Occitania), to Galicia. A total of eight folk or traditional music proposals shape the poster of this new edition.
Concerts at L’ETNO
The festival will start at the beginning of May in the patios of the La Beneficència Cultural Center, headquarters of L'ETNO, which will host a total of six performances throughout the month. Concretely, the day 7 from May to 20:15 hours, the formation of Matthieu Saglio will present a multicultural proposal and a wide variety of sounds, fluidly combining the music of Brazil, Africa, classical or jazz. The festival will continue on 14 from May to 20:15 h child Magalí Saree, that will offer a concert dedicated to traditional women's songs in Europe.
He 21 May also at 20:15 h, Etnomusic will bring a French proposal with a warm immersion of traditional Occitan rhythms from the duo Cocaine. The program will also feature the Valencian group Manners, who will take the stage at L’ETNO on 28 from May to 20.15 h, bringing to the festival a firm mix of sounds inspired by Greek and Valencian traditions. The poster in L’ETNO is completed with Gala and Ovid, a new duo of experienced artists who start from Galician tradition to take us to innovative terrain and take advantage of the resources of pop songs and electronic music. The performance will be 30 from May to 20.15 h. Besides, The program will include a family concert from 30 birthday of the Valencian formation let's go. This proposal will be made on 24 from May to 11:30 h, in collaboration with the SARC of the Culture area of the Provincial Council of Valencia .
Capacity is limited and admission to the concerts is free with prior ticket collection. Collection can be made from Tuesday of the same week of each concert. (maximum two tickets per person) in the lobby of the Valencian Museum of Ethnology (of 10 a 20 hours).
