Isósteles Estudi becomes the epicenter of the 10th edition of the Maig di Gras festival, which is celebrated in Borriana between the 28 and the 30 of May. After a year of hiatus, This popular event inspired by the Mardi Gras of Nova Orleans turns this 2026 to invite the population to a collective celebration in which music and color are combined with social awareness. A party organized by the Soul Explosion association in which the memory of Vicent Aleixandre Penelas will be well present, one of its main drivers.
The activity in the creative ship located in the avenue Almassora, 7, from Borriana, will start on friday 29 with the welcome party and the unveiling of the mural by the Very Veritas sisters (Angie i Julia Vera) they elaborate to leave a plastic imprint of each of the editions. It will be at 19.00. At the same time, the music will start playing inside Isósteles Estudi, with a session punctuated by Second Line DJs. To the 18.00 a parade led by the Broken Brothers Brass Band from Navarre will leave from Isósteles Estudi, present in all editions of May di Gras, along with Cremasoles Second Line, made up of all those people who want to join this musical procession in which the colorful umbrellas and collars also stand out.
When returning this parade through different areas of Borriana, the Second Line DJs session will take place, accompanied by the possibility of dining on the ship itself. The final stretch will start at 22.00, with music selected by Sister Lau, Lady Stardust i Mr. Stupid. Besides, a special concert by the Broken Brothers Brass Band will take place, with the collaborations of Jau Melo, Tatiana Javaloyes and Carmen Cercós, who is part of the group Skararàpid.
This way, the cultural association Isósteles Estudi collaborates with a festival with a personal stamp and self-managed impulse that promotes union around music.
