XXVII Castillo de Peñíscola Classical Theater Festival

CLASSIC THEATER FESTIVAL

FROM TUESDAY 9 TO SATURDAY 20/7
PEÑÍSCOLA CASTLE. Castell, s/n

Peniscola will once again be a summer epicenter of classical theater and starts with Damn ladies [9] by Chema Cardeña exploring Madame Bovary, The Regent and Anna Karenina, and their social and emotional dilemmas. Five more pieces follow: Summer madness [11] by Goldoni, in a humorous way, criticizes the obsession with appearing, Burro [13] of Álvaro Tato runs through the figure of the donkey throughout literature, Lindabridis Castle [16] by Calderón de la Barca pits chivalric characters against a demon in a work that is pure baroque theater, The miser [18] Molière offers a new perspective on greed and gender roles and The Bingueras de Euripides [20] of The girls of Cádiz mixes Greek tragedy and clandestine bingo in Cádiz, promising a memorable conclusion.
