FROM THURSDAY 26/5 ON SUNDAY 5/6
ARTS. Professor Lopez Piñero, 1
Les Arts closes its lyrical season with a flourish by making a technical display that has been quite a challenge due to having to fit in and coordinate a cast of twelve singers, numerous figuration, choir, coro, large orchestra in the pit and three different groups of musicians on stage. Wozzeck is an opera of social denunciation and psycho-medical overtones premiered by Alban Berg in 1925. It is based on the true story of a soldier told in fifteen scenes that narrate the process of destruction of the protagonist. Visually impressive and loaded with symbolism, the opera crudely portrays the authentic reality of man, their poverty, misunderstanding and exploitation suffered. AU
