D’una petita peça del Festival Russafa Escènica of 2021 is born Mare, una obra de llarga durada que retrata l’evolució que ha patit el concepte de la maternitat, les obligacions i característiques de les persones encarregades de la criança en la història social i personal del país en les últimes dècades. Una dona recorda a la família que la crià en un barri valencià obrer dels anys huitanta: tres dones que van ser els pilars de la seu vida, un pare absent. Entre taconejos, balls desaforats i escenes intenses, Rocío Ladrón de Guevara i Laura Valero ens mouen entre la risa i el plor en assistir a la recerca d’una identitat, al descobriment de la inestabilitat d’una infància sobre la qual una dona pretén construir un futur sòlid.
