Los yugoslavos

FRIDAY 26 AND SATURDAY 27/9
the river. Gregory Gea, 15

The renowned playwright and National Theater Award winner in 2007, Juan Mayorga, returns to the theater with Los yugoslavos. This is a poetic and suggestive montage that, as usual in his work, bet on word games and silences that say so much. Directed by himself, The work deals with a topic as delicate as depression.: It all starts when a waiter asks a customer for help, who has seen lift another customer's spirits with simple words. The pide, please, talk to your wife, who is immersed in sadness. Mayorga explores the power and fragility of language with a magnificent cast—Luis Bermejo and Javier Gutiérrez stand out—capable of generating a tension that envelops and disconcerts the viewer..
