MAIN THEATER. boats, 15
The first theater version of the novel arrives at the Principal The mansions of Ulloa by the famous 19th century Galician writer Emilia Pardo Bazán. The permanent abuse of women is perfectly reflected in this adaptation by Eduardo Galán in which we see that the role of women, especially in the rural world, it goes little beyond being a pure sexual object. Besides, in this show directed by Helena Pimienta the social and political oppression prevailing in the Galician rural environment under the cacique regime is illuminated, hypocrisy and the good ways of the good people or the imposing role of the church in maintaining that dominant climate. Bazán was quite a standard bearer of feminism in a world run by men. ASSUME TAMARIT
